Marijampolė Special Social Care Home (hereinafter referred to as the Care Home) is a budgetary institution, the purpose of which is to ensure social care for dependent or partially independent elderly persons who require constant specialist care (hereinafter referred to as the Elderly Person), adults with mental disabilities and (or) mental disorders, due to which they have been assigned a level of 0–40 percent work capacity (hereinafter referred to as the Person with a Disability), and children left without parental care (hereinafter referred to as the Child).

The mission of the Care Home is to improve the quality of life, health and social participation of each service recipient by providing person-oriented services.

The vision of the Care Home is an advanced institution that provides quality services, develops and implements social innovations.

The goals of the nursing home:

To ensure long-term and short-term social care, emotional and physical security, equal opportunities for service recipients, creating living conditions that do not degrade human dignity, protecting and defending their rights; To ensure complex assistance requiring constant specialist care, taking into account the physical and social level of independence of an elderly person; To ensure full and equal participation in public life for adults with disabilities, enabling and promoting independence.

Values ​​of the nursing home:

Good microclimate/atmosphere. They communicate respectfully and cooperate in a professional manner, acting together as a team, open, friendly and helpful when providing services. They create an open working environment based on inner peace, trust and partnership;

Quality of life. The goal of the nursing home is a happy, smiling service recipient. The nursing home values ​​and respects service recipients, cares about their quality of life, progress and development, empathizes with the situation and emotional state of others, and directly understands the feelings of others. Quality of life is understood as the satisfaction of physical, psychological, social relationships, material needs, and as a personal feeling arising from satisfaction or dissatisfaction with life;

Professionalism. The nursing home is a professional institution that provides quality social services so that the nursing home's actions create value. The nursing home values ​​responsibility, works honestly, bases its decisions on professional knowledge, and is responsible for the work performed to service recipients, colleagues and itself. A nursing home is an institution responsible for its impact on the environment and society, and together with public and state sector partners, seeks innovative solutions to systemic social and broader economic welfare problems. Fosters sustainability, which is an important condition for social, economic, cultural and ecological development, based on a clear legal basis for development and the rationality of decisions made.
